1. Newton's first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force. It is also called Law of Inertia.
2.Second law- Rate of
change of momentum is directly proportional to force or Simply F=dP/dt
Another form ,as we know P=mv
F=d(mv)/dt= m dv/dt= m a
i.e. F= ma
here ‘a’ is acceleration , v velocity, m mass(Constant) ,
P = momentum(quantity of motion contained in the body).
3. Third Law- To every
action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
F(AB) = - F(BA)
F(AB) = Force on A due to B
F(BA)= Force on B due to A
