Define Inertia or What is inertia?

 

Inertia means every body ‘s tendency to remains in its original position (rest or uniform motion) unless an external force acts on it.

Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to any change in it's rest position, speed, or direction of motion.

A property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.

Mass of a body is a measure of Inertia. More is the mass more is its Inertia. Inertia is an inherent property of all the objects.

SI unit of Inertia is Kg.
